I’m completely a fan of Denim on Denim. I’ll tell you why in three sentences . 1. It’s chic 2. If the shades are different (and they don’t have to be completely different ) then your look won’t seem dated. 3. It’s denim, so if the pieces are a perfect fit, then you’re home free.
The thing I’ve been aspiring to achieve for the longest time but soon realised that if you have fun with this creativity thing, you already are chic, already are artistic and automatically are Different .
What we all swear we are. And we’re right . Even in our unique complete self, there are different sides to us. And that does not mean we pretend , it just means we are reflecting an incredibly complex and creative God. We have different loves and different faces which we show to different groups of people depending on the situation .
That’s what makes us us, all our interesting quirky characteristics that sometimes don’t seem to belong, but ought to be embraced for our survival.
‘Fill your bowl to the brim and it will spill
Keep sharpening your knife and it will be blunt…
Chase after money and security
and your heart will never unclench.
Care about people’s approval
and you will be their prisoner.
Do your work, then step back.
The only path to serenity.’-Lao Tsu
I don’t think i have to say much after that.
